I just hugged you exactly three weeks ago Maam Letty Tolentino after the CCA-DRR Forum at UP Baguio. You told me, gusto ko talaga ang solar Ben. I replied, when we come back here in Baguio, we can do an assessment of your homes energy consumption. Then we proceeded to talk about renewable energy in general, even talking about Randy Davids article in the Inquirer Going solar. Upon hearing the news of your passing away, the years that we spent talking over and after lunch about the things that matter in life -- family, education; your experiences as a teacher in Papua New Guinea in your younger years; understanding all the rebellion and angst that I was going thru then, all of these things weighed upon me. You were more than a colleague to me. You are the embodiment of my belief that any form of philosophy is best understood when lived, not just taught. May you rest in peace.
