Because North America at that time was under the dominion and jurisdiction of the Moabites, Amorites, and Hittites. Islam had been in the Americas since at least 800 A.D. which put the Moslems on this land under the dominions of the successive Sultans of Morocco. The Europeans were only colonizers before this time. Their 13 colonies were but extensions of their European Kings between the years of 1621-1786. They had no power outside of the decree of their king. They went to Morocco to make a treaty with the Sultan as to legitimatize themselves as a nation. 22. Q. What were the sons of Europe given by the Sultan of Morocco to form themselves as a nation in the west? Ans. The sons of Europe were given a 50 year mandate to develop this land by Sultan Sidi Mohammed III. 23. Q. What year did this event occur and how long did the mandate last? Ans. 1786 was the year when this mandate was signed and sealed by the Sultan of Morocco. This mandate is called the Moroccan-United States treaty of peace and friendship and it ended in 1836, 50 years after it was signed by the Sultan of Morocco. Q. What did the sons of Europe have to give up in order to establish themselves a nation in the West? Ans. They gave up their Christianity. It was forbidden for a Christian to make a treaty with the Moabites. Moabite is another name for Moor. Their biblical law reads: “You must never try to make peace with the Ammonites or Moabites. As long as you live, don’t be friendly to them.” (Deuteronomy 23:6 ERV) 24. Is there any historical references to back up this claim that the Europeans gave up their Christianity to form themselves a nation here in the West? Ans. Yes. The treaty between Tripoli and the United States on November 4th, 1796, and at Algiers on January 3rd, 1797 says: “As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Moslems,—and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mohammedan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.”
