I just played an amp today that made me really excited. You know when you want to play at bedroom volume at home and you bring this 5w or 1w combo home and theyre all made to be cranked to get the tone. You crank it and discover that even 1 watt will make the neighbors real mad...or you get an attenuator but the problem is when you push it all the way down to bedroom volume, it doesnt always sound as you expected. So today, I played the Palmer FAB 5. A 5 watt combo but you can get it down to about 0.2w with the built in attenutaor and they really voiced it well. At a volume nobody can get upset with, you get the stringy woody rnr blues type sounds that are really inspiring. Turn it up to 5w and plug it to a 2x12 and you have a big sound (it has a built in eminence 10 speaker too). So its nothing for the guys that want to go down on the 7th string and do the Meshuggah. But for blues -rock type of players it has that lively response to it. Well let you know when we get it. If I dont bring it home.
