I just put Brynlee back in bed so I have a minute to update since Ive received several messages and comments. She is the same this morning except she is even more tired and her stoma is leaking more. I got her up for a feed and she passed out in her high chair before it was over so she was only awake maybe 45 minutes. She is that lethargic. When I disconnected her tube, milk poured out around her stoma. Justin said she had another rough night. I took a Xanax for sleep so he was the one up with her all night. She is still coughing with bloody secretions even while wearing an HME for extra humidity. I believe she needs IV fluids (she isnt eating anything orally, holding about 1/2 her normal feeds and then those are leaking out of her feeding tube stoma) so when Justin gets home from work, we are going to discuss and it is very likely we will take her on to either Huntsville or Birmingham this evening. Just keep praying for her. I was really hoping to keep her out of the hospital and while her breathing is still okay, I think she is just too dehydrated to recover on her own at this point. Of course, Im not a doctor, just a mama but thats my opinion.
