I just read a comment on another page of a friend who has to work - TopicsExpress

I just read a comment on another page of a friend who has to work retail this afternoon. Then I read a few other comments about the same topic Gray/Black Friday. Ive never been able to figure out Gray Thursday or Black Friday. Its just dollars and cents. Whether you sell today or sell next week, its a sale for the black side of the ledger. I realize retailers run ultra great specials and try to earn the money faster. Seriously though, why not have special prices on items during regular hours? Maybe it would reduce the retail rage we see on the news after the stampedes. Which is more insane? Creating shopper fury and getting dollars in the door at drastically reduced prices? Or selling items a bit more reduced, during regular store hours, and raking in the cash in a steady stream over a couple weeks? Deposits into the bank of retail are good either way. Happy Thanksgiving everyone and tomorrow it becomes ThanksLiving.
