I just read a young ladies post and she said "I have the blood of black Jesus running through me". Believe me it made me cringe. I have a serious problem with that statement as well as the times I have heard pastor describe their churches by the race of the people in the pews....when you say and do this you are saying "anyone not like us is not welcome". Where, please someone tell me where in the scriptures do we see this...my Bible reads "is Christ divided" 1st Cor 1:13.... I am re-posting something I wrote about a week or two ago.. From the Desk of the Hammer and the Nail When we as Christians start to elevate our race above our walk and relationship with Christ Jesus, we begin to travel a slippery slope that leads to destruction and separation, bringing others along with us. The Jews and those of the Roman government did this when they did not recognize that in their very midst was God Himself. Because they were focus more on their heritage, their religious piety, rules and regulations, and their place in society, they allowed racial pride, judgementalism, anger, bitterness, jealousies and unforgiveness, all tools of Satan, to blind them. They did not recognize nor except Jesus as the Messiah and crucified Him. Focusing on race is like crucifying him afresh. We are saying to Him that His methods of reconciliation are not working, forgetting that we were all birth as one race, from our first earthly father, Adam, whose natural origin was dirt of which color we know not. It could have been from the dark or lightest soils of the earth, or from brown, red or gray muddy clay, too our second, Abraham, which we were born by faith. The point is it doesn’t matter. (Romans 10:12..Galatians 3:26-29). What matters is that God the Father through Jesus Christ, does not call us from the color of our skin but the color of our hearts. Cain slew his brother Abel for the same reasons we are hating, judging and killing each other daily, be it with a weapon or our words, and it continues. By doing this we are not fulfilling our true destiny nor allowing “ the purpose for which the Son of God was manifested”, which is to “destroy the works of the devil”. 1st John 2:9-11..15-17..3:10-15..4:17-21. (my recommendation is the entire book of 1st John be read).
