I just read an article in our Sunday paper about Memory care/assisted living facilities becoming a booming business. The growing need for families that cannot work and take care of their parents on their own. The 1 thing that stuck out to me is the high cost of these places! Assisted living: $2500 to $6000 a month Memory Care: $3500 to $8000 a month Seniors have to sell their homes in order to live in these places if they dont have a long term care insurance. Medicaid has little money for this use. Some Seniors go bankrupt after a few years! What if they sell their homes, move into facility and dont like it? This is 1 of the Whys for LGB Services to go into their home and help/support the families with their elderly parents. We work with the families to form a plan for all of us to work together. We keep our rates very affordable for our clients so that if they do chose to stay in their own home, they can do it without any financial stress.
