I just read that the gentleman had been charged with manslaughter. Fair enough and I will say this: it had to be done. a life was taken and there are no provisions in the law for forgetfulness. I empathize with the grandparent, but the law has to take its course. To those who feel that the mother should have called, must consider the fact that there are probably regulations against phone calls on petrotrin grounds and if the parents are accustomed to leaving the child in the custody of the grandparent then there was no reason to call. They moved with the assumption that the child is safe, which they probably were accustomed assuming. People we must understand there is no right or wrong in this instance, it was a mistake..and to err is human
