I just read this off the KCFB Fan page.... It goes along with I was saying earlier and with what most TRUE, NON BANDWAGON, fans fell everyday.... Enjoy Chiefs Nation!! ArmchairAddict1 The Kansas City Chiefs are 9-0 and there’s nothing anyone can say to change that. The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon by a final score of 23-13 and there’s nothing anyone can say to make that win count any less. National media members and fans of other teams LOVE to point out what’s wrong with the Chiefs. Here’s the thing…. Nobody in KC is arguing that KC is playing perfect. What KC fans are trying to get people to understand is that finding a way to win even when everything doesn’t go perfectly is a more valuable trait to have than being able to fill up a stat sheet. People will point out that KC’s offense only put up 9 points…….and the Chiefs won anyway. People will point out that KC was out-gained 470-210 in offensive yards…….and the Chiefs won anyway. People will complain that Alex Smith only threw for 124 yards……and the Chiefs won anyway. People will say that KC’s defense gave up 241 yards rushing……and the Chiefs won anyway. This wasn’t the first time KC has been criticized for how they won a game. In week 2 the defense allowed Dez Bryant to go off for 141 yards and a TD……and the Chiefs won anyway. In week 3 they allowed 264 yards rushing to the Eagles…..and the Chiefs WON ANYWAY. In week 7 they allowed the undrafted Case Keenum to throw for 271 yards and a TD in his first ever NFL start……and the CHIEFS WON ANYWAY. In week 8 they allowed Jason Campbell to throw for 293 yards and 2 TDs in his first start in something like 26 years……..AND THE CHIEFS WON ANYWAY. You know who didn’t win anyway? The Denver Broncos when they had to face the Colts in Indianapolis and turned the ball over three times. Those same Colts couldn’t “win anyway” when their offense only mustered 9 points against the Chargers. They also couldn’t “win anyway” when they allowed the Dolphins to come into their own home stadium and put up 398 yards of offense. The Bengals couldn’t “win anyway” against the Bears, Browns, or Dolphins. The Patriots couldn’t “win anyway” against the Bengals or Jets. The Saints couldn’t “win anyway” against the Patriots or this past Sunday against the Jets. The Seahawks couldn’t “win anyway” against the Colts and had equally “ugly” wins against St. Louis and Tampa Bay. The 49ers couldn’t “win anyway” against the Seahawks or the Colts. The Packers couldn’t “win anyway” against the 49ers or the Bengals. The Chiefs haven’t always been pretty, but when the game is on the line they have come through 100% of the time. No other NFL team can say that. People say that KC hasn’t played anyone good. They held an Eagles team that was averaging 397 yards per game BEFORE they put up 49 points against the Raiders to just 16 points. They held a Cowboys team that is averaging 28.6 points per game to just 16 points. The same Browns team that KC gets no credit for beating has wins over the Bengals and Ravens. Finally, the Bills team that KC gets no respect for beating has home wins against Carolina and Baltimore and only lost by 2 to the Patriots at home and by 3 to Cincinnati at home in overtime. The Chiefs 10 point win against the Bills was the only game played in Buffalo this season that didn’t come down to the wire. Yet, somehow that win justifies KC not being a good team? The national media and fans of other teams can talk as much trash as they want. THE CHIEFS WON ANYWAY. Now KC gets their bye week to rest up and prepare for the media darling Denver Broncos. This game has been flexed to the Sunday night game and I’m sure there will be endless discussion of how great Peyton Manning is leading up to the game. I’m expecting every NFL expert on the planet to pick the Broncos to win. If KC finds a way to “win anyway” in Denver, I wonder what the media talking heads will say then? They’ll probably act like they believed in KC all along and love how they’re playing “old school” football, but true KC fans will know exactly how much crow these experts deserve to eat. Let’s hope next Sunday night the Chiefs can serve them some. As always, thanks for reading and GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!
