I just received a message from a Facebook friend whom I have known for a while. She has allowed me to speak of her situation without mentioning her name. Ladies and gentlemen, you cannot make someone love you. My FB friend has loved the same man for 6 years. He told her that he loves her, but he also loves many other women. He will never commit to her but he seems to want her around if no one else is available. She suffers with the love she feels for him but waits in hope that he will come around and realize that she is the one that he wants. I told her that I understand this situation and the depth of devotion that women feel when they are in love. My dear April advice is that she needs to walk away from him completely to stop her pain. She needs to have no contact with him whatsoever until she comes to her senses. The man does not want her. He is using her while he searches for someone else. She will waste more time being unhappy, jealous and unfulfilled as long as he is in her life. The love he offers is a selfish one sided love that only benefits him. My dearest friend, be strong. You are beautiful and intelligent. Trust me, I really understand what is happening. Surround yourself with friends who distract you from him. I know that someone who deserves a beautiful devoted woman will come around and properly love you. A man who truly loves you is not going to make you share him or knowingly cause you pain. You said that you hate to see him suffer and yet he cares nothing about your suffering. WALK AWAY. I love you dear friend and I am always here to support you.
