I just returned from a long day of discussion and debate at the State House on todays historic legislation, An Act Relative to the Reduction of Gun Violence. This legislation, which I was proud to support, will ensure Massachusetts has the most effective gun laws in the country and, most importantly, it will save lives. Tonight, the Massachusetts House showed the nation that compromise between law abiding gun owners and gun control advocates to collectively reduce senseless gun violence is possible.
