I just saw Bad Grandpa... I really only enjoyed two scenes. There was a lot of opportunity for this movie to have a better story than it did. There was a lot of opportunity for this film to give Johnny Knoxvilles character more of an audacious senile point of view, like the very first sketches of Knoxville and Spike Jonzes elderly bafoons. Johnny Knoxville seemed very cognizant and well spoken for an assumed to be 86 year old. I hardly felt he put much authenticity into portraying the true age of his role. It just seemed like a get by...with a pretty decent marketing push. A bit of it seemed rushed together...like a song losing its beat. Basically, it sounds like Im being a dick. But the hype leading up to this film...and the could have been feeling Im left with after walking out after thinking, What just happened? makes me feel like Dickhouse Entertainment has lost its edge. Developing a story along with the pranks is a great idea...having a crappy story though, doesnt make for a good movie.
