I just saw a post in a ferret group about someone who saved a ferret from a person who did not want to have the ferret anymore and was going to kill it by hitting it over the head with a shovel. This is so wrong on so many levels. Please understand that if you get any animal then you are then 100% responsible for its wellbeing. You cant just dispose of a living being like that when they no longer fit into your lifestyle! There are always other options...there are always other caring people who may be able to take the animal off your hands and give it the forever home it deserves. But simply getting rid of it like that, killing it because it no longer suits you to have a ferret or any animal for that matter is so bloody wrong, wrong, WRONG! Imagine if someone did that to you? Got rid of/killed you because they were no longer interested in having you around. Not a very nice thought is it? There are always other options. Please respect your animal friends. Unfortunately Ive heard of way too many of these stories which is why Im dedicated to raising awareness/ educating people on ferrets and animal welfare. I hope you all join me on this mission. Together we can make the world a better place for all furry fluffy bum carpet sharks :)
