I just saw an advert on TV. It was about a gospel music album - TopicsExpress

I just saw an advert on TV. It was about a gospel music album launch. It said: Prophet El Bernard launches the album of his son Prophet Igwe. Father of the day, Prophet El Bernard. And Igwes name was only included in the list of guest artistes. His name was not even first on the list. It was hidden in the middle somewhere. I got a bit confused. Is the event about Prophet El Bernard or about Igwe? And the father of the day is more important than the one whose album it is? So who is the celebrant? Why do some so-called prophets find it difficult to let their sons be celebrated without they being in the picture. I remember growing up as Alabaster Box together in the same church then, we got our first radio appearance and our pastor banned us after that because he said we failed to mention his name and the name of the church on radio. Secondly, we got the opportunity to travel to South Africa and the pastor said the church choir was there before Alabaster Box so the choir must go to Togo before Alabaster Box goes to South Africa. I think it is an insecurity issue. That their spiritual sons can do well without their direct involvement. They just cant live with it. Look at how El Bernards name is all over Igwes album launch. Even if he paid for the recording, which executive producer does that? This is why Alabaster Box decided years sgo never for all four of us to be in the same church again. We do not want any pastor to hold us down with his insecurities, wanting his name smeared all over everything Alabaster Box. We belong to the body of Christ, not to any particular pastor.
