I just saw the video of Janay Palmer being punched, knocked out, and dragged out of an elevator by her now fiancé Ray Rice. I am sickened, and I pray for her. Also, I would have hoped that things would have changed in the last 30 years, since women have made strides in becoming more independent... and seen more as individuals and less as property, so that others would not have turned backs on what happened and ignored it like a domestic issue. From experience, I know what is like to actually be the one blamed for something like this happening to me, and told to apologise and make up, by no less than what I thought was other guy friends.. to be fair, other times, my guy friends had stepped up, and defended. Anyone that is physically harmed by a loved one should be helped, and if no one helps, help YOURSELF! be strong, walk, run, find a way to get away. It is ok!!!
