I just saw this article. I really agree with her that the idea of a fourth trimester is paramount, rest, closeness, cuddles recovery. AKA babymoon (Dr Sarah Buckleys book titled something like gentle mother gentle birth.) However All that holding including the slings requires physical strength and puts a lot of load on a tired mothers neck and shoulders and is not meant to be done by one person. Stay strong and fit around motherhood people. Pilates and water aerobics at Innerstrength can be useful.
