I just spoke to one of my supporters and volunteers from the Caseville area and he told me he had received the oversized postcard from Dan Grimshaw and he was wondering why the Huron County Republican Party was paying for this mailing. I told him that they were not paying for the mailing. According to the Huron County Republican party this was a mistake at the printing firm Grimshaw used and they have issued the following press release. Unfortunately this mailing went our to around 6,00 mailboxes and many people think that the Huron County Republican Party has endorsed Grimshaw. Please read the following and share as many times as you can. The word needs to get out. This needs to go viral in Tuscola and Huron County. Press Release 8-1-2014 The Huron County Republican Party would like the voters of the 84th District State Representative race to know that we havent authorized or paid for any literature distributed during the 2014 Republican Primary Race. State Representative Candidate Dan Grimshaws recent flyer is incorrect, the disclaimer states Paid for by the Huron County Republican Party. This flyer was actually paid for by the Committee to elect Dan Grimshaw. Throughout the years the Huron County Republican Executive Committee has been consistent in waiting until after the August Republican primary to support the Republican Nominee. It was supposed to be that way this year, however the before mentioned Grimshaw flyer may have given the false illusion the Huron County Republican Party is supporting one candidate over the other. Which couldnt be farther from the truth. The Republican Party continues to be blessed with many outstanding candidates in the 84th District State Representative Race.
