I just started teaching Momo Pivot. It goes by taking a little - TopicsExpress

I just started teaching Momo Pivot. It goes by taking a little step at a time, and the very first step for her is to stand on the platform. (more precisely, to place front paws on platform in standing position. I started with food lure a little bit, then shifted to shaping in session #1. She is a queen of paw targeting, so she tends to do it with every object presented to her. This is session #2. As Momo is trying to figure out what to do with the platform, I am trying to figure out how to break her sit and paw-target behavior in this particular training. Thus, I am trying different places to give her rewards (treats). So, this is a learning process for me, too! At the very beginning, you will see Momo is offering different behaviors - spin & go around (me) - to figure out what she is supposed to do. I am always happy to see that she is willing to offer different behaviors! Today in session #3, she learned to place front paws on platform in standing position! Once she is consistent with it, I need to move onto the next step...
