I just think it is precious. Japanese Prime Minster Abe has paid - TopicsExpress

I just think it is precious. Japanese Prime Minster Abe has paid homage to Japanese dead from WW II. Sounds reasonable, doesnt it? But wait: the homage he paid to Japanese WWII war dead was to those convicted and executed for war crimes. He referred to them as martyrs. Oh, I think that is just SOOOOOOOOO precious. You see, Japan never has acknowledged publicly their responsibilities during WW II. They have never made appropriate reparations nor have they ever apologized for their role in the carnage they caused throughout Asia during WW II. So now that nearly 70 years have passed since their surrender they are now able to conveniently forget the true evils that their war criminals caused in China as well as in most of the rest of Asia. (Just ask the Chinese about Shanghai and if you dont know now, read about the Bataan Death March. Those historical events will give you a little taste of what those who marched for The Emperor were capable of.) It isnt necessarily true that history always repeats itself. But it is also very true that the only thing people do seem to learn from history is that people never learn from history. Just sayin.....and the next time you go out and drive your Prius, think about Shanghai, Bataan and a few hundred dozen other places. If you need a list, Ive got one for you.
