I just thought of another thing I did when I first started on my present diet that really helped. I am on the road a lot in my real estate business and Im always stopping at fast food places for lunch. I went into the Internet and pulled up all the places I frequent and looked for their calorie counts. I then decided on the things that I could eat and still not use up all my daily calories. I kept all these in a notebook by my side until I learned what I could eat and now I just know what I can order at all my favorite places. One of my favorites is Subway...like Jared! I found a sub that I liked for about 300 calories. I really can only eat about half of a 6 sub at a time, so I save the other half for my snack. I count the whole thing for lunch, so my snack at night is free. I LOVE that idea...maybe something like that will work for you, too!
