I just threw my arms around a fireman at the post office in Carlsbad! I gave him a big wet kiss on the cheek too! Nope, I didnt know his name but I sure did recognize his handsome face from taking my garage door opener to get my dog for me a few months back during the San Diego fires! They had the main road to my home blocked off that day and I was trying to get to my little furry husband. I had parked my car and walked up to a fireman who seemed to be taking a one minute break with a gallon of water. Please let me go get my dog, my windows are open and Im scared the smoke will get to him. Without batting an eyelash that day he asked for my address and went. Ive wanted to thank him ever since and wouldnt you know that the second I walk in the post office today there he was, in all his fireman t-shirt glory! That day was a day I will never forget and today is a day he will never forget! I made the biggest fuss over him:) My father was a police officer before he started his hauling company so I was born with a deeper respect for them. I honestly feel that our police officers, soldiers, teachers and firemen are the most under appreciated people on this planet! They are over worked, under paid and often under valued for the lives they change and save! God bless each and every one of them! They are all GOLDEN in my eyes!
