I just took down everything on my Facebook timeline. I dont know if Ill ever come back to it. Facebook isnt what I really do. I write songs, I paint, I love my friends. I will continue the dialogue on this post, if anyone has any comments, but beyond that Im not sure if I can do any more posting. I am including this lyric from a song I wrote, which was based on a vision I had about six years ago. It was the night that Jesus was assassinated. He was hanging on the cross. Jesus the jew, Jesus the rabbi, Jesus the rebel. He never hurt anyone but the establishment nailed him. His mother and some disciples were at the foot of the cross. The roman soldiers were there waiting for the job to be over. A scattering of people had come to watch. Jerusalem lay in the distance. But nobody showed up to protest what happened. No mob arrived to stop it from happening. And I realized that everyone was playing their role in the whole event and that He knew that. If anyone had strayed from their roles, it might have turned out differently. My friend Billy recently told me that this song is his seven year old daughters favorite song. She loves this one and also my other song called Monday, Im Starting My Diet. She also told him, John isnt saying anything bad about Jesus in the song. So wise. So innocent. So true.
