I just wanna share the Word of God from my first ever visit at the base. ❤️ Thank you to all the pastors, Navy people, Save the Band, FLY and the rest of the lovely people we met during the festive night of praise & worship. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more. You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. ~Ephesians 4:17-24 About 22 years ago, I was no longer a civilian. I was indoctrinated as a military man. They made me have a new haircut. They stripped me off. They took away my identity. They took away my clothes and sent it back home. They took away everything... my family, friends and everything that knows me. But then, the day changed when I am found. One particular day, I had a new Navy uniform. You know, that famous traditional blue uniform with 13 buttons. God wants to use each and everyone of us. Each person has an ordained purpose. So it should be an easy thing for new believers to walk away from the community to follow Christ. WE MUST PUT OFF OUR OLD SELVES. We all have our old selves. God wants you to completely give up your old self. As a partner, you accept Jesus Christ. Your old self cannot keep up with your new self. Some things just cannot match up. ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST. Come up to Jesus just as you are. If you accept Jesus, then you must know His word. With that, you can have the power of the Holy Spirit working through you. When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, thats the time when youll be able to truly believe that He can save your life. Shake off the old self. Throw your old self away. And be done with it. RENEW YOUR MIND. God will not run out of mercies for us. Put off your old self because everyone of us have something we need to get rid off. CLOTHE YOURSELF IN THE LIKENESS OF JESUS CHRIST. You gotta read the Word of God. You gotta cut off everything else in your life. You gotta spend sometime with God. And then, something will definitely happen. Thats when you can stand in front of people. You start to talk like Jesus. You start to show compassion. You start to greet people. YOU BECOME A NEW CREATION. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! ~2 Corinthians 5:17 Each of us is called for a purpose. God wants to use us for a specific purpose. He wants each and everyone of us back. Were constantly changing. We should be giving in to His mercy daily. We receive salvation. Righteousness. Holiness. And then we learn to speak, act and love just like Jesus Christ. Because what we are reflecting is what is inside of us. So put off your old self. Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. Renew your mind. Spend time with Him daily. And then clothe yourself in the love of God. You know.. Back in the day, when I put on that brand new Navy uniform, (sighs)... I felt that I made it!
