I just want the world to know that for me, recovery is nothing less then Amazing. .. I get the joy of waking up early, seeing the sun rise after a good night sleep, hear the birds chirping outside, the love of my friends and family, and the joy of being present for life. (All the things I never had when I was using) I am a work in progress that strives for better today. I know that recovery is a life long process, but today regardless of what may happen in life, I know there is always a solution and it doesnt include me getting loaded anymore. The things happening in my life today, I never dreamed possible... I thought I was going to be a hopeless dope fiend for the rest of my life. Bit it just goes to show, if you follow suggestions, stay connected and let others love you till you can someday love yourself the possibilities are endless. I am truly blessed to have walked the path I did, it has made me all that better of a person today. So just for today, I will keep my chair in the rooms that saved me and gave my life back... Im still doing damage control from the things and family I hurt in the past, but I truly belive if I keep doing what Im doing then things will get better.
