I just want to put it out there that I am extremely happy that folks are posting their Im so Frisco memories. It is through the appreciation of these everyday activities from once upon a time that we continue to remember the San Francisco that belonged to the working class and the children of the working class. Frisco has changed drastically since I was a kid and youth, but my experiences as a child were never tainted with the politics of SFs blue bloods or grimy politicians, even when I was fully aware they existed and what they were doing. My parents were very verbal about it. Even through a city hall fiasco, life went on, because when you are poor, life must go on... You fight, you lose, you fight, you win some, you scrounge up change to get on Muni and you fight some more. Sometimes literally.... But the cityscape of San Francisco, its steep hills and historic buildings, continue to stay beautiful...even with its changing boutiques and restaurants that close after a year. The part of SF history my grandparents, parents and even I participated in creating continues to stay intact, even when I am bitter, it still exist. And for that, I am forever grateful. Damn...The City raised some amazing people.
