I just want to take a moment and say THANK YOU to everyone who has been sharing these SAPA Urgents & Adoptables dogs. We experienced a major crisis and people all over the place rallied to be surrogate crossposters for those who were silenced. This is how we will win...by involving the community. When you guys share, it helps more than you can possibly imagine...if you have 200 friends, thats 200 shares and 200 chances to save a life. And if all 200 also share with THEIR 200 friends, the chances just doubled that these dogs will walk out of that shelter alive and well instead of dying alone at the hands of strangers who see them only as a kennel ID number and not the living, feeling, emotional creatures they are.. This also raises awareness of exactly what is happening here in our city and more exposure means more progress toward making SATX no-kill, which is our ultimate goal here and what we fight so hard for EVERY SINGLE DAY. We need to create a legacy for our children and grandchildren of compassion and humanity. There is no good reason for the mass killing of animals. They deserve better than that. We need to BE better than that. San Antonio is already on the map for being a great tourist location and treasure trove of historical landmarks. We need to put it more prominently on the map by being the city that bands together as a community to right a horrible wrong and stops senseless murder from continuing on as it has been for so long. This cannot be allowed to continue. And we ABSOLUTELY have the means to stop it. All we have to do is draw a clear line in the sand and step up. Miracles happen when people work together, and that is a fact. Blessed Be )O(
