I just want to thank all who have been in prayer for the Torres family!! Thank you for the visits, calls, texts etc. Thank you Kim and Derek for coming up on a Friday evening and bringing large bags full of snacks and drinks for the family and the Gods Promises book you gave our family to read for comfort in times of sadness. The sibling bond is strong but especially for two little boys who grew up with no other brothers or sisters!! Deweys brother Scotty has been diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer. A 10cm tumor involving a great portion of his liver is what he is going to be facing in the next few days\months\maybe years. Of course I say this because only God knows the true prognosis of this cancer. Things like this bring us to our knees because it is overwhelming to even think of what the days ahead will bring. My heart of course breaks to see Dewey Torres having to face this with the brother he loves so dearly!! Prayers have already been answered by us having the VERY BEST care available at Baylor Dallas!! We have seen NUMEROUS doctors specializing in each area Scotty needs to focus on for maximum success in hopefully maintaining the progression of this cancer. They have ALL been TOP NOTCH and shown not only their expertise but extreme compassion. On the very first night after admission we had two young female doctors who came in to talk with Scotty at about 10:45 PM. They were young professional women but the cream of the crop in medicine I guarantee you. They showed EXTREME compassion with one taking Scottys hand and explaining what he was up against!! Please continue to pray for guidance as our family faces this battle with an ugly diagnosis!!! Its times like these that make or break people. Please pray for our family to not only stay whole but for us to grow stronger during this journey!! Again we appreciate every single person who has show us such awesome support the past few days!!!!
