I just wanted to give everyone an update on mom. But first I want to thank you for all the prayers and fasting in her behalf. I flew to Vegas and spent three days with her in the hospital. It was very humbling to help my mother with some of the most simple things that become a great challenge after having a stroke. She is doing better and still has the same sweet personality. Thank the Lord there is no paralysis. She does have difficulty with speech and putting words together as well as understanding things. She was transferred out of the hospital to a rehab center yesterday where they will continually work with her and do physical, speech and occupational therapy. She just wants to go home. Its hard to live so far away and not get to be with her. I use to call my mom almost daily to see how she was, ask for advice, and tell her about the little things and the big things going on with us. I still call her everyday to check on her but now there is either no answer or little conversation. I miss my mom. For those of you who have lost a loved one to Alzheimers, dementia, or the effects of a stroke, I understand now. Im sorry for your loss. We are so blessed mom Carolyn Grey is still with us and continue to pray for her full recovery. Its just a hard reminder that there is no guarantee we will have another chance to say I love you to those dearest to our heart. One day we will all hang onto that last conversation.
