I just wanted to give you all an update. He did finally eat a little bit more of the recovery food on his own without me having to put the bowl up to him. Not much but he went to the bowl himself and locked at it. Also the other pictures are of his stitches. The first one is the day he had surgery. The second I just took. So you can see the stitches are looking good and he has not messed with them or needed to wear the cone collar at all. I know his scar looks pretty large but the actual lump was just bigger than a quarter. It started out as a pea sized lump when I first noticed it and was brought to the attention of the dr in late July and we decided to keep an eye on it since it was not bothering him. It stayed the same size for quite awhile before it suddenly grew much bigger and started to bleed. Thats when he was given a two week antibiotics shot in hopes of shrinking it but sadly that didnt happen and it was not improving at all. I was hoping to wait until January to have it removed so we could have an ultrasound done on his heart to make sure his heart could handle the surgery being that he has a murmur. But things took a different turn and here we are. He also was able to finally get the broken tooth he had been dealing with removed plus another molar on the other side of his mouth removed too. The hard thing is that his kidneys are beginning to move further into failure. He is now on a phosphorus binder powder and is once again anemic. He was anemic the summer after his diagnosis of crf and chronic pancreatitis but we were able to get his numbers into a stable place with b12 vitamins. Im hoping we can try to get that under control again and help him bounce back into himself as much as possible. I have no idea how long I will be blessed to continue to have him in my life and I pray the day for him to go is far away. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for loving and caring for him. Most of you may never meet him in person but I hope you will feel the sweetness of his soul no matter how near or far from him you are. God bless you all.
