I just wanted to say I am very appreciative to be a member of this group:-)! I shared with you guys the story of my journey with a Clyde/TB bred to buck that showed and won with me in the jumpers for years! I began riding at 12 on a Percheron/TB, best teacher ever as he was 20 when I began riding the beautiful black boy! But that was the start! Then came a purebred Belgian gelding I showed in the jumpers and hunters for years! People didnt laugh when I beat their made hunters lol! His name was Walter aka Demolition Man, he was my best friends dads logging horse. Walter and I parted when I got my Houston, only to meet again when he was 23 and boarded where I did. Walter was sick when we met again, but love saved him and we had the best summer ever....swimming on the beach a couple times a week. All these geldings are passed but each one remains a teacher in my lifes journey. I truly believe once you go Draft you will never look back! But also being a bigger rider, it does make your butt look smaller, :-) love and good night from Vancouver island Canada. I feel at home here! Most of my friends just cant understand the depth of bond there can be achieved with a draft:-)!!!! I was blessed and pray one day again I will own one of these majestic creatures:-)!
