I just was asked by our Assistant News Director what I remembered about 9-11. I remember the horrible sights, obviously, but I also remember the sound, the shock, the utter disbelief at what I was seeing on television. I was putting my oldest daughter in her baby swing. My wife called me into the living room and didnt say a word, we just stared, stunned. It was much the same at work, watching the images of our country under attack, it was an eerie silence you rarely get in a usually loud newsroom. I remember the brave first responders, and the people who showed grace and courage, and I remember the anger. In the days that came we all put our flags out, and seemed united as a nation. I kind of miss the flags and the feeling of one nation, the rest of the memories I dont look back on fondly, but it is important to remember.
