I just watched a CNN report on Ebola that, while sharing some new coverage, also aimed at bringing a realistic view of the problem. The anchor shared statistics on Influenza (The Flu), showing that it kills over 500,000 people worldwide per year, while Ebola has killed 5,000. Ive never seen a news broadcast actually work to be realistic versus capitalizing on fear, and I think it shows that people are catching on. Hoping to see more of that.
