I just watched a video of the actress in this police detaining incident ... without a doubt, she and her attitude and actions are a microcosm of the entire racial idiocy going on in our society. I wont dignify it by causing it a debate. She offers no respect to the duly constituted authorities merely doing their job, she requires sensitivity of them while offering neither minimal respect, nor minimal assistance in aiding the legal process. She is treated with kid gloves and yet assigns herself part of some great civil rights movement for all Americans standing tall against the all oppressive :man ... she erroneously places herself as a standard bearer, equating complying with legal and rational police inquiry with some sort of Rosa Parks resistance to oppression, she presents herself as the breathless love spokesman while offering neither citizenship or historical understanding, she leaps to racial victimization when none exists -- a pivotal position that maintains and enflames irrational perception of racial relations. This is a question of petulant spoiled lack of respect for others and minimal respect for any legal order. Her actions are a bastard step sister to the objection to voter identification laws which simply seek to secure the freedom to vote for all, but instead offer only anarchy and breakdown to the electoral process.
