I just watched the Whitney movie. I enjoyed it and felt the cast did a great job. Angela Bassett did an amazing job directing. I have no clue about the accuracy of anything. Like most, I was not there. However, if I take the accuracy of facts out of the equation and if this were a fictional story instead of a biopic, I would gesture to think that a lot more people would have loved it. I have to agree that it seemed more like Whitney and Bobby than just Whitney. There were a lot of scenes that only he was in without her that reflected on his life just as much as hers. I definitely recommend it. It is a lot better than other stuff currently on television and we need to support AA films if we want to see more of them. I am not suggesting that quality is not warranted to support but this is a good one, based on the network, budget and limitations involved. Just my opinion. I have seen so many negative comments and this is one film that I can honestly say I feel is a wonderful effort. Both leads should be considered for more major roles after this.
