I just watched this powerful video. It is simply amazing and reassuring for those of us on creative and daring pursuits. Sometimes I have thought I am too vulnerable and have had vulnerability shame. Several times I have wanted to hide out after sharing my feelings publicly. I have been criticized many times for my openness and have been accused of looking unstable because I am open and honest about my feelings, emotions and my entire journey. The thing is, I have been that way all my life, ever since I was a child... sharing my thoughts, feelings and observations first on paper. I didnt make them public until much later, about ten years ago, when I finally embraced my experiences and gift and decided to help others by writing a blog on Myspace which had thousands of readers. I dont blog anymore. I also know that it takes A LOT of courage to be open and to fail openly and to publicly be vulnerable. I am so happy to bear witness to this talk because it really speaks to me so powerfully and reassures me that I must never feel ashamed for being vulnerable, for asking for help and support when I need it, or for admitting I dont know what the hell I am doing next or that my plans dont always go as I envision or expect. This is a powerful revelation and I am grateful that I was given this video to watch and ponder on. It is my gift to you today.
