I just went to Massage Envy and got the Deep Muscle Therapy add-on - TopicsExpress

I just went to Massage Envy and got the Deep Muscle Therapy add-on option. The entire massage was just lousy. Not enough pressure and super fast. It was as though she was working at a car wash and drying off a car with a long line of people waiting. I totally understand thats what I get for going to Massage Envy. (I know I need to plan my schedule better, so that I dont depend on Massage Envy for last-minute convenience) If you work at Massage Envy, can you tell me a bit about how the Deep Muscle Therapy option is supposed to work? I have received the Biofreeze Handbook for Massage Therapists, (but havent really read it) so may be she was just following the Biofreeze/Prossage Protocol? This was a waste of my money (plus $20 gratuity, they dont get paid well, so I felt I had to). I asked her for more pressure on my neck and shoulders. (And, only in that area because I figured she wasnt very strong and if she needed to use what little strength she had, she should reserve it for that area) Then when I turned over I said, Actually, maybe you can just skip the front of my legs and do deeper work on my pectoral area (and I touched my pectoral area) she said, Yeah, I was going to do that. --It didnt happen. She sat on a stool and attempted to work my pecs in a frictioning, circular motion) And, when she worked my arms and hands, she did it from the very top/head of the table--standing at the top/crown of my head-not off to the side or even close to my shoulder, while I was prone. Im tall, how does she expect to get any leverage from that angle? If I wanted to simply have Prossage and Biofreeze rubbed on me I could have done that to myself, then have my cat and chihuahua walk on me for free. Normally, I wouldnt complain about a Massage Envy Massage (because thats what I get, right?) But, this was ridiculous. Someone needs to work with this therapist. And, I dont even think its a matter of not being a good fit. Ive been to other therapists there who supposedly do more relaxation and arent as deep as the others and the session was at least pleasant and relaxing. Is there a way to get them to have another therapist or someone give her some pointers? (i.e. stand next to the body part that you want to work, not 4 feet away from it.)
