I know that it was her prayers that kept our family. It was that 7 a.m. Saturday call telling me to grab my bible. It was her who taught my mother to be the mother she was. It was her who cane with my mother to bring a scared 18 year old child 16 hours away from home for the first time. I thank God for her legacy and it is my privilege to continue it as I walk across that stage Friday.
