I keep on wondering everyday what the future hold for nigerians, n after series of considerations and opinions by scholars like Ake, C.(1981) n others that ave neatly articulated in literatures the ways to our ECONOMIC miracles n development but all hinge to government efforts n policies,n my thinking continue, anyway i applaud these scholars opinions but plead to differ in my submissions, a comparative analysis of Asian countries most especially south east Asia n by extention latin America has rather reveal that followership helps in terms of ECONOMIC, social n political development of a country at all epoch in live. It is against this backdrop that okpaga (2003) argue that development entails individual commitment hence government is a personification of individuals, similarly Akume(2014) argued that followership in the aforementioned countries ave rather provoke, stimulate, propelled, triggered, gingered, catapult n skyrocketed development in these countries, d4 nigerians with similar ethos cannot help but to develop if me n u as nigerians have begin to take committed steps towards those things that can only facilitate dev. N not those that can frustrate even govt policies that required citizenry commitment like sanitary n the host of others. Conclusively, i want Nigeria’ n Nigerians to begin to think inwardly and should imbibe the idea of strict followership to ideas that can sustain growth n development hence, underdevelopment..
