I keep seeing claims that perfection is impossible. But how can that be? The only way for something to be genuinely impossible is for it to be self-contradictory, even in the utmost abstract. And I see no such contradiction. The only way for mistakes to be inevitable is if EVERYTHING we do is a mistake--which in turn requires that WE be mistakes, that the entire universe is an unalloyed mistake. And I see no reason for that level of despair.
