I keep seeing people share this, and yeah, sure, it looks really cool. But the F-35 JSF is one of the worst military boondoggles in recent memory, basically designed by Congressional committee to spread the pork around to build components to as many states as possible. Its widely considered to be poorly designed, and estimates seem to show that it will cost nearly 80% more to fly and maintain than the aircraft it is supposed to replace. Now, the pilot in this video is very, very good at his job, and thats why hes not dead from the malfunction that caused the plane to flip like that. But the fact is that if he went up there in an actual good plane, he wouldnt have been a hairs breadth away from being the squishy center of a pile of burning wreckage.
