I keep seeing posts that tell us to avoid negative people because we do not need to let their drama and lack of faith bring us down. We do not need to let them affect our mood. Their negativity might rub off on us. Maybe its just me or maybe I am missing something but I have to question the general attitude about negative people. Jesus went where the need was. Then He went to His Father in prayer. Negative people need the light of Jesus and we are His hands and feet. We shine His light and love into a dark and hurting world. Negative people are hurting people. I dont think that the answer is to avoid them. The answer is to love them like Jesus. If any negativity rubs off on us as a result of being in their presence then we need to do what Jesus did. We need to turn to our Father in prayer and praise. Spending time in His presence is more than enough to restore faith and positive spirits. And we might have managed to point the one who is hurting to the One Who can help.
