I know I may be totally distracting all of you lovely Floppsies but I just wanted to ask,especially you older ones, have you walked through the tunnel to Jarrow?.Talking to my sister-in-law this afternoon & something came up-----to cut a long story short----shes NEVER walked through the tunnel!.I couldnt believe it but now that Im sitting thinking about it (shes only 45) is it because late 60s 70s 80s the car came into force lol hence---no need to walk! or because as children they were offered far better deals lol.I spent my childhood going through the tunnel over to Jarrow----bowling alley to the right etc etc etc one foot in North Shields---one foot in South Shields! lol----remeniscing now!
