I know I speak for many when thanking Wet Feets Jeff Chang for all the help he has provided water enthusiasts from around the globe... Ode to Jeff Chang...ahem. The magic kite that got me back up wind for the first time, I got from Jeff. The magic paddleboard that got me across The Channel the first time, I got from Jeff. I quickly learned that Jeff is an icon, a legend, a gentleman, and a waterman. He is quick to help in any situation, putting out potential fires and easing any difficult race logistics. Calling Jeff a true athlete inside and out doesnt do him justice. Reigning as an Ironman, a big wave surfer, his sons tow partner, a bad ass kiter, a Molokai veteran, Jeff takes sport to a whole new level. He could climb Everest, but Im guessing hed prefer K2. If he says he caught an overhead wave on a downwind SUP, it was probably triple overhead, and he probably came out of a stand up barrel, on a downwind SUP. Humble, gracious, always lending multiple hands, Jeff greets the world with a smile...even after the toughest race of his life. Mahalo nui loa, Jeff, from all the water peeps!
