I know I tend to wear my emotions on my sleeves, but seldom on Facebook. But I am BEYOND PISSED. Was forced to use the useless and job eliminating Self Check devices at Walmart this morning. I know Americans are increasingly on the go, and some have let their interpersonal skills dip to all time lows. Sadly, we have a generation coming up in this world who will be unable to communicate without the use of text messaging. Ironically enough, even social media using only pictures is becoming the trend. I believe prehistoric cave dwellers used pictures to communicate (does anyone still believe in evolution? And can we digress and turn back into whatever we came from?) Back to point one. After being forced to use the Self Check I was abruptly stopped at the door by the manager because he needed to see my receipt for the items I did not bag. I was already livid, we exchanged unpleasantries with each other and parted ways. Upon leaving, I promised him...I had darkened the doorway of a Walmart for the last time. I know it wont make a large impact in the gazillion dollar corporation...but I will not contribute to the decline of America. Harris Teeter and Food Lion...here I come.
