I know Ive kept some of you anxiously waiting for an update, for that I apologize. They cant do an MRI yet due to wires from Balis pacemaker. He hasnt needed the pacemaker but right now he has developed an irregular heartbeat and they want the wires there just in case. The Dr in charge of this unit told us theres no doubt Balis will have some developmental challenges due to injury of his brain. He believes they will be very minor but until an MRI is done theres no way to be sure. They have changed his formula to a low fat type. No it has nothing to do with his adorable chunkiness.....all of his numbers are looking pretty good. The drainage from his chest tubes is still significant and we need those to come down. I had a rough time dealing with the news of his Neuro problems. All of the messages, comments and texts of encouragement helped and are greatly appreciated. Its so great to have a support group that will pray for your child in a moments notice. Thank you all so much. There are so many of you that weve never met, wed love to hug each of you. Overall Balis is in a nice stable condition. The drs arent concerned with his irregular heartbeat, its easily corrected with the same medicine he was on before surgery.
