I know a lot of you are deeply religious people, so I figured I would get opinions on this. For me, Joel Osteen is actually one of the main reasons I dont attend church. I equate him to a snake oil salesman. He preaches feel good stories that people want to hear...for a price. Then he goes on to try and squeeze more money out of his followers through merchandising (i.e. book sales or speaking engagements), but its ok because its in the name of God. What pastor/rabbi/minister surrounds themselves with lavish luxuries and then preaches for others to give up their worldly goods?
