I know its a long read... but its definitely worth it. My first dog, Vince, was rescued as a puppy from being kept in a filthy garage with his brothers and sisters and mother, always starving fighting over food. And my second dog, Sam, was rescued from the pound as a tiny 4 week puppy who was either forgotten by his family or dumped. Either way they never came back to get him and he was due to be put down as his 7 days were up. It breaks my heart to know that the other dogs at the pound the day that I walked out with Sam, were all put down because their owners didnt come get them and their 7 days were up. If I could, I wouldve taken them all. And then I see breeders online selling the exact same types of dogs just for their own personal profit. Pisses me off so much. If youre thinking about getting a companion this Christmas, or any time, please please please take a look at the Spca and the Dog Pound first. My puppy Sam is the absolute light of my life and I still think he saved me that day, not the other way round ❤❤❤
