I know its my birthday and I shouldnt be talking politics but you - TopicsExpress

I know its my birthday and I shouldnt be talking politics but you know what, Ive just about had enough today. Whether you are voting yes or no, the attitudes of supposed mature people displayed on my Facebook in the run up to the referendum is getting more and more disgusting. I see very few people dealing with discussion about the topic democratically and am sick of the consistent piss poor childish attitudes towards politics. One side wants to slate the other, and you know what... No matter the outcome, if the attitudes of the majority on either side are like this then we are doomed for failure either way. And its not just because of our pathetic, childish politicians, its because of the people living here too that adopt such terrible militant attitudes. Carry that on in Scotland, indy or not and the country will grow worse day on day. Democracy?! Not even sure that those who speak of it so strongly contemplate its literal meaning, or how one would operate in reality. Delusionacy would be more appropriate for most. There are extremely sound and legitimate reasons for someone to vote either way regarding democracy, economy, taxation, pensions, healthcare, education etc. Why cant people focus on some POSITIVE things? If I can see just one person give me a well backed example of why their vote is a good idea, NOT why the vote opposing them as a bad one, then there is a little hope left I suppose. Happy birthday me :) hahaha x
