I know many of my Aikido friends think politics should be kept - TopicsExpress

I know many of my Aikido friends think politics should be kept separate from their Aikido. For me, it is precisely my Aikido that has motivated me to try to be involved , to fight the good fight so to speak. Almost forty years in Budo have done two things... One, is that I am not at all afraid of what anyone thinks of me and I am free to say what I believe. Second, my practice has made me secure enough to express my beliefs, however forcefully, without the need to hate the folks who disagree with me. I think the need for intelligent dialogue is crucial at the moment. (I am, however, still working on my tolerance for people who act like morons... its a weakness in me, i need to learn patience and tolerance for the judgmentally disabled)
