I know my husband and I are in a different situation than most of our friends and people we graduated with but one thing I find so insanely frustrating is parents who dont know how to let go dont get me wrong thier is a difference between not caring for your child and for not letting them go. I feel for people my age who live under the impression that they have no control over thier lives or thier own personal situations because it might upset some one or they may not be allowed to I am all for respect but thier is a difference in being respectful and obeying your parents every time they dont agree with a decision you have made in your life. I know our parents were raised in a different time and most of my older friends on Facebook will read this and not agree how ever I think that if you raise yoyr child to be so dependent on you that they are in thier early twenties or older and they feel they have to ask permission to do something that doesnt involve you thats sad. When the day comes that they have to make a decision and you arent thier to ask what to do they are going to either feel elated that they can control thier life finally or panic because they wont know what to do.. I love my son but my husband and I will not smoother luke when he turns 18 he is free to make his own decisions whether I agree or not and my job will be to be there to guide and love him through it when he wants me to be.
